4:50 am - “Reducing the Contract Amount” by Polina Shinkina

This is a one-topic book from the series of books related to discussion of different aspects of business contract terms in the Chinese language.

The book contains a number of useful phrases and words which might be used in the process of business negotiations.

The book includes the Table of the Chinese Radicals, the main text, the list of used characters, exercises for the Chinese characters study, including exercises on the Chinese characters decomposition.

Quite a number of grammar exercises disclose the theme of the general questions in the Chinese language. Answers to exercises at the end of the book are a good support for self-learners.

9:56 pm - Job opening in Stamford, CT

Any current SOFA graduates or alumni looking for work, there is a recent opening at the TV production company I work at in Stamford, CT. It's a paid internship that usually leads to a full-time position. Final Cut Pro skills are definitely a plus. If you've got any questions or know someone who might be interested, reply to me on here or send me an e-mail at sendpeteemail AT gmail DOT com.

Also I don't know if this is the best place for this kind of post, any suggestions on where this might be more useful?

11:18 am - We have a new president - W00T!!!!!

Dear Alumni,

I am pleased to announce William W. Destler as Rochester Institute of Technology's ninth president. The RIT Board of Trustees made the decision at a special session, selecting the senior vice president for academic affairs and provost of the University of Maryland.

Dr. Destler will assume RIT's top post July 1, succeeding Dr. Albert J. Simone, RIT's president since 1992.

We are proud to welcome Dr. Destler to RIT as our next President. His breadth of experience, understanding of academia, and his sense of vision for the future will help propel our University to new heights. The entire RIT community is looking forward to his arrival. There is a great opportunity to build from the strong position we enjoy from Dr. Al Simone's 15 years as our President. Bill Destler, with support from all of us at RIT, will lead the University to a new level of prominence in higher education while maintaining our core values.

I would also like to applaud the work of the 21-member Presidential Search Committee, led by Trustee Donald Boyce. Thank you for your hard work and dedication dating back to last summer.

Michael P. Morley
Chairman of the Board of Trustees
